Cleanup Diary: 28 September 2014

Cleanup at Pak Kok in support of Hong Kong Cleanup. Each time I organise a cleanup, I put up notices, but I’m never quite sure how many people will come.

On the way to Pak Kok Beach that morning, I felt a sense of hopelessness. I was on my own and there was an awful lot of trash.

This AFTER all the effort of Brand on the Beach earlier in 2014: cleaning up, record what was found, writing it all up and reporting it to the government.

But then Nick and Mairead showed up with their lovely girls, and Terrence came all the way from North Point on his day off to help, bringing one of his Food and Environmental Hygiene Department colleagues with him. And we did a really good cleanup!
